The Ainscow Hotel Manchester

Your Gateway to the Heart of Manchester

Starting life as a brewery, The Ainscow Hotel is now home to our fully restored 4-star boutique hotel. We have an on-site car park that can be used throughout your stay for a small fee, and we are just a short stroll away from Manchester’s most popular destinations, with Spinningfields and Deansgate right on our doorstep.

Here at The Ainscow, we’ve merged traditional with contemporary. Though each room boasts a modern and stylish feel, we’re old school at heart. You’ll find a touch of Victorian charm alive in every area of our Manchester city hotel. With over 85 distinct rooms to choose from, you can rest assured that we’ll have the perfect space for you.

Stay Manchester

We’re older than we look, with a history dating back to 1878. Over the years, our listed building has played a crucial role in the working lives of tens of thousands of local people. The building was initially the home of the Watson & Woodhead Brewery before changing hands in 1927, serving as a jam factory for Mackie & Sons Fruit Preserves. In 1957 the building was occupied by the iconic Brown Brothers Auto Parts, who remained there until 1986.

Each space has a distinctive personality of its own with retained, original features – timbered ceilings, exposed brickwork and steel beams. We’ve integrated this traditional style with a slick and modern design, sourcing most of our bespoke furniture from neighbouring suppliers.
